An analysis conducted by THE WHISTLER reveals that an average Nigerian household requires 334 percent of the national minimum wage to secure a healthy meal each day. The findings indicate that for many workers, particularly in Ekiti, up to 90 percent of their earnings are consumed by food expenses, while those in the South-East allocate approximately 81 percent of their income towards sustenance. This situation highlights the significant financial burden on families striving to maintain a nutritious diet amidst economic challenges.
