The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) reported that six transmission towers along the Apir-Lafia transmission line in Nasarawa State were destroyed by vandals on May 30 at approximately 1:15 am during a rainstorm. This act of vandalism has resulted in significant disruptions to power supply in the region. Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s General Manager for Public Affairs, confirmed the incident and emphasized the impact on electricity distribution. TCN is currently assessing the damage and working on restoring power to affected areas.
