Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja has pronounced a death sentence by hanging for four of the five individuals convicted in connection with the attack on Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. The assault, which occurred in June 2022, resulted in the deaths of at least 43 worshippers. The convicted individuals include Idris Abdulmalik Omeiza, aged 25, among others.
