The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced that the 2026 oil licensing round is set to begin no later than the third quarter of this year. This initiative follows the approval from the Minister of Petroleum Resources and is in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). The licensing round aims to enhance investment opportunities in Nigeria's oil sector and is expected to attract both local and international stakeholders.
