The Government of Cross River State has officially transformed the Dr Lawrence Henshaw Memorial Hospital in Calabar from an infectious diseases facility into a comprehensive General Hospital. This upgrade aims to enhance healthcare services in the region, expanding the hospital's capabilities beyond infectious diseases. During an oversight tour of the facility, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk, announced the changes and highlighted the government's commitment to improving healthcare access for the community.
