Man dies while trying to retrieve phone from well in Kano

A 45-year-old man identified as Yusuf Usman lost his life on Wednesday while attempting to recover his mobile phone from an abandoned well in Kwa Town, located in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State. The well, which had been repurposed as a waste disposal pit, posed significant hazards. The incident was confirmed by Alhaji Sani Anas, the Director of the Kano State Fire Service, who provided details in an official statement. Emergency services responded to the scene, but unfortunately, Usman did not survive the ordeal.
