The Borno State Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, has mandated immediate action from Education Secretaries, school administrators, principals, and head teachers to implement epidemic prevention and control measures in response to a cholera outbreak affecting Maiduguri and surrounding areas. This directive, issued in a statement on Monday, comes as the state reports a total of 4,204 confirmed cholera cases. The Commissioner emphasized the importance of safeguarding the health of students and staff by adhering to established health protocols.
