The White House Correspondents’ Association has announced that a rescheduled dinner will take place in July, following the abrupt interruption of the previous gala due to a security incident. The earlier event was halted when a suspect entered the venue and discharged a firearm, reportedly with the intent to harm former President Donald Trump. In response to the previous security breach, the association has confirmed that enhanced security measures will be implemented for the upcoming dinner to ensure the safety of all attendees. Weijia Jiang, the association's president and a senior White House correspondent, is overseeing the preparations for this event.
