The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported a total of 344 confirmed cases of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), resulting in 60 fatalities. In addition to the cases in DRC, six individuals have successfully recovered from the virus within the country, while two recoveries have been noted in Uganda. However, the current contact tracing efforts are only achieving 45 percent effectiveness, significantly below the 90 percent target deemed necessary to effectively control the outbreak's spread.
