During a plenary session, lawmakers emphasized the need for enhanced rescue operations to secure the release of the victims taken during the incident on May 15, 2026. The motion, introduced by Johnson Ogundele, highlighted the rising insecurity in the region, prompting calls for the establishment of a permanent military base and improved security measures in schools. The Assembly also urged the government to conduct security audits of educational institutions and implement comprehensive safety protocols to protect students and staff from future attacks.
