The Senate has established a six-member ad hoc committee tasked with addressing the outstanding debts owed to local contractors for various projects undertaken nationwide. Senate President Godswill Akpabio made the announcement during a plenary session, which followed a closed-door meeting. The committee has been directed to initiate discussions with the Federal Ministry of Finance and other pertinent government agencies to facilitate the settlement of these debts promptly.
