Ehiozuwa Agbonayinwa, a senatorial aspirant for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Edo South, has expressed regret over his decision to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the NDC, describing the transition as moving from "frying pan to fire." In an interview on Arise News, Agbonayinwa, a former member of the House of Representatives, claimed he won the senatorial ticket during the primary election but is now being prevented from appearing on the ballot. He further alleged that Senator Seriake Dickson, the national leader of the NDC, encouraged him to pursue the senatorial nomination, but has since denied any involvement in the matter. Agbonayinwa highlighted the difficulties he faced during the primary process, noting that he had never encountered such challenges in his previous political experiences with the APC or the PDP.
