Sam Amadi, the former Chairman of the Nigeria Electricity Regulation Commission, has stated that the upcoming 2027 presidential election will likely be contested solely between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He expressed skepticism regarding the African Democratic Congress (ADC), suggesting that legal challenges could prevent the party from appearing on the ballot. Amadi characterized the ADC as a "mini APC" and urged its leaders to be concerned about their political standing. His comments were shared in a series of posts on X, where he emphasized the dominance of the APC and the NDC in the electoral landscape, particularly following the recent primary elections that confirmed President Bola Tinubu as the APC candidate and Peter Obi as the NDC candidate.
