The Yobe State Police Command has apprehended five individuals suspected of vandalising railway infrastructure in the region. In the course of the operation, authorities recovered 85 railway steel sleepers that had been damaged. The police, in a statement issued by their Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, highlighted the collaboration with members of the Hunters Group in addressing the issue. The arrests and recovery are part of ongoing efforts to combat infrastructure vandalism in the state.
