Mirra Andreeva secured her first Grand Slam title at the French Open on Saturday by defeating Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska with a score of 6-3, 6-2 in the final match. The victory marks a significant milestone for the 19-year-old Russian, who is the eighth seed in the tournament, as she becomes the youngest woman to win at Roland Garros since Monica Seles achieved the feat in 1992. Chwalinska, who entered the tournament ranked No. 114 in the world and was considered a long shot at 500-1 odds, was unable to overcome Andreeva's performance in the championship match.
