Asar Sesugh, a suspect in a cybercrime case, has reportedly died following an incident involving his alleged cult associates who opened fire on operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Makurdi, Benue State. Sesugh was one of 26 individuals apprehended by the EFCC’s Makurdi Zonal Directorate during a raid on April 28, 2026.
