The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for a significant 20-megawatts mini-grid power project in Egume, located in the Dekina local government area of Kogi State. This initiative is recognized as the largest mini-grid power project in the North Central region of Nigeria. During the event, the minister also inaugurated two additional mini-grid projects in Kogi East, which include a 700-kilowatt facility aimed at enhancing local energy access and supporting economic development in the area.
