The Edo State Police Command has taken action against social media influencer Uzebor Emmanuel, known as "Aza Woman," following his viral posts that falsely claimed six individuals were kidnapped in Benin City. The police stated that Emmanuel's allegations, which suggested that victims were abducted from mini transport buses and some escaped or were released after ransom payments, were found to be untrue and misleading. These statements reportedly incited fear among residents and posed a risk to public confidence in local security measures. Authorities emphasized the seriousness of disseminating false information regarding public safety and confirmed that the suspect will face legal charges once investigations are completed, urging the public to verify information before sharing it.
