Troops of the North-East Joint Task Force, known as Operation Hadin Kai, alongside Special Operations Forces, successfully rescued approximately 360 civilians who had been abducted by terrorists from the Ngoshe community in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The majority of the rescued individuals were reported to be women and children. However, military sources indicated that the operation was marred by tragedy, as two infants lost their lives during the rescue efforts. The military continues to conduct operations aimed at securing the region and protecting civilians from terrorist activities.
