The Kano State Hisbah Board has announced the initiation of medical screenings for couples intending to participate in a state-sponsored mass wedding program. Scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8, 2026, the screenings will take place at Hisbah offices across 24 local government areas in Kano State. The program aims to facilitate the marriage of 3,000 couples, as confirmed by the Deputy Commander-General of the board, Mujahideen Aminudddeen. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to promote marriage and family formation within the community.
