Former Senate Leader and Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has expressed his appreciation for the efforts of President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Works, David Umahi, regarding the development of the Gombe–Biu highway project, which has an estimated budget of ₦1.2 trillion. Ndume highlighted the significance of the highway in enhancing connectivity and promoting economic growth in the region. He emphasized that the project will facilitate easier movement of goods and people, thereby contributing to the overall development of the northeastern part of Nigeria.
