In Saqab village, located in the Dara-e-Boom District of Badghis, Afghanistan, a critical situation unfolded when a 38-week pregnant woman named Manawara arrived at the Family Health House (FHH) experiencing severe complications, including heavy bleeding and low blood pressure. Midwife Madina promptly assessed her condition and identified that the baby was in a breech position, necessitating immediate medical intervention. Through the application of emergency protocols and skilled delivery techniques, Madina successfully stabilized Manawara and facilitated a safe delivery. Following the birth, both mother and child received comprehensive postnatal care, reinforcing the importance of accessible healthcare services in remote areas, particularly in light of the support provided by the Government of Canada and UNFPA.
