In Al Jufainah, Yemen's largest displacement site, over 16,000 families face ongoing challenges due to prolonged displacement, fragile living conditions, and limited livelihood opportunities. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has implemented a Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance program to support these families, allowing them to address their immediate needs following crises such as recent flooding. Ahmed, a displaced father, received approximately $170 through this program, enabling him to provide medical care for his son and purchase essential school supplies for his daughter. Similarly, Kamal, another displaced individual, utilized his assistance to establish a small grocery shop, illustrating how targeted cash support is helping families regain stability and control over their lives amid ongoing hardships.
