The Oyo State Government has taken decisive action by demolishing a three-bedroom bungalow in Lako Community, Ibadan, which was reportedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of relatives of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu. The victims, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, were kidnapped on June 3, 2026, in the Elewura, Challenge area of Ibadan, but were successfully rescued by police operatives during a tactical operation that also led to the arrest of several suspects. The demolition, conducted on Monday by officials from the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation alongside Nigeria Police Force operatives, is part of the state government's broader strategy to combat kidnapping and dismantle criminal networks. This initiative aims to eliminate safe havens for criminals within the state.
