The federal government has announced a strategic initiative to enhance Lagos' status as a premier aviation hub in Africa by extending the current rail network to connect directly with the domestic and international terminals of Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA). This development was revealed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during a press briefing on Monday. The proposed rail link aims to facilitate easier access to the airport, thereby improving passenger convenience and promoting increased air traffic. The initiative is part of broader efforts to bolster the aviation sector and stimulate economic growth in the region.
