Former Humanitarian Affairs Minister Sadiya Farouq has filed a motion in an Abuja high court requesting the annulment of an arrest warrant that has been issued against her in connection with a corruption case. The case also involves former permanent secretary Bashir Alkali and Sani Mohammed, who are co-defendants. Farouq was not present in court during the latest proceedings on Monday, while the other two defendants attended. The court's decision on her request to overturn the warrant is pending.
