FG targets new tools to tackle malaria scourge

The Federal Government of Nigeria is implementing new strategies to combat the malaria epidemic in the country. This initiative includes the introduction of dual-active ingredient insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) aimed at enhancing protection against malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Additionally, the government is focusing on pioneering Larval Source Management (LSM) techniques and the development of a malaria vaccine to further reduce the incidence of the disease. These measures are part of a broader effort to improve public health and reduce the burden of malaria in Nigeria.
