Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has publicly refuted allegations regarding his acceptance of funds from Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential aspirant, for the purpose of mobilizing support during the party's recent primary election. In an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Lawal asserted that he would rather contact President Bola Tinubu for financial assistance if that were his intention. He categorically denied the claims that he misappropriated any mobilization funds, emphasizing his integrity in the matter.
