The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the formation of its National Campaign Council for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election. Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has been appointed as the chairman, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio serving as co-chairman and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele acting as secretary. The council, which includes serving and former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other party leaders, is set to be inaugurated on June 10, 2026, at the Kashim Shettima Hall in Abuja. This council is tasked with coordinating campaign activities and mobilizing support ahead of the election scheduled for June 20, 2026, with a focus on various key areas including finance, logistics, and community engagement.
