Ogun State Police Command has apprehended eight foreign nationals suspected of orchestrating fake abductions aimed at extorting money from the relatives of their purported victims living overseas. The Command's Spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, provided details of the arrests in a statement released to the media on Monday in Abeokuta. According to Babaseyi, the arrests were made following a thorough investigation by the police detectives, who uncovered the fraudulent activities of the suspects. The police are continuing their inquiries to determine the full extent of the operation and any additional individuals involved.
