A snake, identified as a "mildly venomous" mock viper, was discovered on a TUI flight arriving at Gatwick Airport from Cancun, Mexico, on June 5. None of the 345 passengers aboard the flight were aware of the reptile's presence during the journey. The snake was located by a cleaner shortly after the plane landed, and an airport worker captured a photograph of the reddish-brown creature before it managed to escape. Authorities are investigating how the snake was smuggled onto the aircraft.
