How NSCDC Officer Was Killed, Daughter Abducted In Kogi

In a tragic incident in Odo-Ere, Kogi State, armed men believed to be bandits killed Mr. Ayo Olukotun, a personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and abducted his daughter along with other residents. The attack occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, when the assailants invaded the community, firing indiscriminately and causing widespread panic among the locals. Following the assault, Olukotun was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, with his remains now in a mortuary. Local officials, including the Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, condemned the attack and called for increased vigilance and cooperation with security agencies to combat rising criminal activities in the region.
