Police foil robbery attack, kill three suspected criminals in Benue

Operatives of the Benue State Police Command engaged in a gunfight with suspected armed robbers along the Vaase–Chito Road in Ukum Local Government Area, resulting in the deaths of three alleged criminals. The confrontation took place at approximately 2:48 a.m. on June 8, following a response by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Gbeji Division to reports of a robbery in progress. Security sources confirmed that the police acted swiftly to prevent the robbery, leading to the exchange of gunfire that ultimately ended with the suspects being neutralized.
