The first group of Nigerians repatriated from South Africa due to recent xenophobic attacks is scheduled to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Thursday morning. Kimiebi Ebienfa, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed this information in a statement issued yesterday. The returnees will be transported on an Air Peace flight, which has been arranged to facilitate their safe return to Nigeria. This repatriation effort is part of the government's response to the safety concerns of its citizens abroad.
