On Tuesday, a significant protest occurred at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State secretariat in Ogba, as party members expressed their discontent with the results of the primaries for Agege Constituencies I and II. Demonstrators, who were seen carrying placards and chanting slogans, accused the party leadership of imposing candidates and disputed the announced results that declared Abiola Oluwagbemiga and Sule Akindele as winners for their respective constituencies. They asserted that Ganiyu Egunjobi and Azeez Yusuf (Ninalowo) were the rightful victors, claiming Egunjobi received over 9,000 votes and demanded that the party honor the mandate of its members. In response to the unrest, APC chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, through his media aide, encouraged aggrieved members to utilize internal party mechanisms for dispute resolution, while police maintained crowd control during the demonstration.
