Edo shuts schools after threats

The Edo State Government has taken precautionary measures by ordering the closure of three secondary schools located in the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area. This decision follows intelligence reports indicating a potential kidnap threat targeting students. The directive was communicated through a circular issued by the State Ministry of Education, which was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Enodolomwanyi Otamere. The affected institutions include Ososo Grammar School, among others, as authorities prioritize the safety and security of the students.
