The Abia State government has announced its intention to establish a tertiary healthcare facility in each of the three senatorial districts within the state. This initiative was communicated by the State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Enoch Uche, during a press briefing following the flag-off of the reconstruction of Umunnato General Hospital, located in Alayi, Bende local government area. The government aims to enhance healthcare delivery and access for residents across the state through these new facilities.
