On Wednesday, former employees of the defunct Arab Bank and Assurance Bank staged a protest in Lagos, demanding the payment of N32,000 in benefits from the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD). The demonstrators accused regulatory authorities of systemic neglect, which they claim has led them into severe financial hardship. The protest took place at the PTAD office located within the old Secretariat at Tafawa Balewa Square, where the pensioners voiced their grievances regarding their unpaid entitlements.
