The World Health Organization (WHO) reported on June 9 that laboratories in Bukavu and Lwiro in South Kivu province, as well as Goma in North Kivu, have exhausted their supplies of Ebola test kits amid a rapid spread of the virus. The affected labs are currently awaiting the arrival of essential reagents needed to conduct tests on a backlog of samples. The ongoing outbreak has resulted in over 100 confirmed deaths, with nearly 600 cases reported, highlighting the urgent need for resources to manage the crisis effectively.
