The federal government has initiated the distribution of free fertilisers to farmers as part of its efforts to enhance food security and increase agricultural productivity. The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) launched the Farm Input Support Programme (FISP) specifically for the North Central geo-political zone during a ceremony held in Minna, Niger State. This initiative aims to distribute a total of 80,640 bags of subsidised fertiliser to eligible farmers in the region. The government emphasizes that this program is a crucial step towards supporting local agriculture and improving the livelihoods of farmers.
