The National Industrial Court has ruled in favor of Tajudeen Balogun, ordering his reinstatement at the bank from which he was dismissed. The court found that Balogun's termination was based on incorrect information from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). In addition to his reinstatement, the court awarded him N5.5 million as damages for the wrongful dismissal. This decision underscores the importance of accurate verification of employee credentials in the banking sector.
