The Edo State government has recruited 500 youths to serve as forest guards, who are currently participating in an intensive security training program at the Police Training College located in Ogida Barracks, within the Egor local government area. This initiative aims to enhance security measures in response to the rising incidents of kidnapping and banditry affecting various regions of the country. The training is designed to equip the recruits with the necessary skills to effectively combat these security challenges and protect the state's forest reserves.
