The first group of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa due to escalating xenophobic tensions arrived in Lagos on Thursday. The returnees landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at approximately 10:15 a.m. on an Air Peace flight. This evacuation is part of the Federal Government's ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and protection of its citizens affected by the unrest in South Africa.
