Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has firmly rejected allegations of fraud in the party's primary election. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Shaibu asserted that the primary was conducted transparently and reflected Atiku's popularity among the candidates, which included notable figures such as former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.
