Air Peace Limited, in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria, conducted a successful evacuation of 262 Nigerians from South Africa on June 11. This operation was initiated in response to a recent surge of xenophobic attacks against foreign nationals in various regions of South Africa. The special flight, which is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of Nigerian citizens abroad, departed from Johannesburg and marked a significant humanitarian initiative by the airline, recognized as the largest in West and Central Africa.
