The Nigerian Senate has issued a directive to state governments, urging them to cease entering into peace agreements with terrorists and armed bandits. The lawmakers expressed concerns that such arrangements often fail to yield sustainable peace and may inadvertently foster an increase in criminal activities. Additionally, the Senate has called upon the Nigeria Police Force and the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre to take action against bandits who publicly utilize social media platforms to promote their activities.
