The Nigerian Senate has approved a three-month extension for the implementation of the capital component of the 2025 Appropriation Act, moving the deadline from June 30 to September 30. This decision was made during a plenary session on Thursday, following a motion presented by Senate Chief Whip, Mohammed Monguno of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Borno State. Monguno emphasized the necessity of the extension due to the unutilized funds within the budget, which require additional time for effective execution.
