Seychelles and Eritrea have implemented a new testing protocol approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) aimed at eradicating mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance public health measures and improve maternal and child health outcomes in both countries. The adoption of this WHO-prequalified test is expected to facilitate early detection and treatment, thereby reducing the incidence of these infections among newborns.
