Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended a 30-year-old transporter named Muhammed Abubakar in the Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State. The arrest occurred while Abubakar was allegedly transporting a cache of weapons intended for Funtua in Katsina State. Authorities recovered four Rocket-Propelled Grenades (RPGs), three AK-47 rifles, and two empty magazines from his possession. The DSS has indicated that preliminary investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of the operation and any potential connections to broader security threats.
