Organisers of the 'Raise Children Speaking Their Mother’s Tongue' competition have awarded a total of N2.9 million to the top three winning students in Abuja. The initiative aims to promote the use of indigenous languages among Nigerian children, fostering cultural heritage and linguistic proficiency. In addition to the cash prizes for the students, teachers who contributed to their success were also recognized and rewarded. The competition highlights the importance of preserving mother tongues in Nigeria's diverse linguistic landscape.
